I am an avid ceramicist, artist, and crafter in San Francisco, CA. Most of my focus for the last few years has been on ceramics, especially functional pieces. After years of oil painting and 2D fine art, creating functional ceramics brings a welcome feeling of utility and connectedness to others through the use of beautiful things in everyday life. As a hobby potter, I enjoy the freedom to explore different aesthetics and techniques in my work, but am especially inspired by traditional Japanese styles and the natural world.

Outside of work and the studio, you can usually find me on my bike or a trail, reading Robert Caro’s Lyndon Johnson biographies, or baking bread.
